Pamlico Animal Welfare Society (P.A.W.S.) is a non-profit organization striving to provide a better life for local animals. Their mission is to assist with the cost of spaying and neutering in order to reduce the number of animals euthanized in shelters.  P.A.W.S. educates the community about humane and responsible pet ownership and helps needy pets by providing dog and cat food from their Pet Pantry. P.A.W.S. relies solely on fundraising activities and tax deductible contributions. The specific projected supported by this website is a fundraiser for the benefit of P.A.W.S. wherein supporters email a picture of their pet, and June will paint a pet portrait for you.  The minimum $100 contribution will be 100% donated to help support P.A.W.S. in their kind, charitable endeavors.
